Hello ya'll.

So what should I tell you about myself? Let me give it to you, sprinkled with a little bit of cayenne and a whole lot of grace: I'm a southern gal, born and raised from New Orleans, Louisiana. I absolutely love my roots! And as the saying goes: "You can take the girl out of New Orleans, but you can't take New Orleans out of the girl. " I love traditions and the city is full of them! Rich food, Cajun culture and a real ZEST for life!

After college, I moved away to Southern California to experience all that a single girl could handle. Palm trees and movies stars is what I was after. What I got was an appreciation for directional maps (I truly was always lost), some interesting stories to tell my future kids and grandkids one day, and an encounter with the man I knew I would marry, the instant we met.

The Dating Years

I've always chosen to live a life out loud. Be the hands and feet of God, sharing what I have with others, no matter who you are. In all of the roles and careers I played a part of, I met all walks of life. What it comes down to is simply this: we all want and need love.

Each person will ask:

How can I maximize this moment to feel needed and wanted in this world? Do I matter? Do I belong? What's my contribution? Did I make a difference today? Did they walk away feeling better after connecting with me? Did I make a positive impact?

I met my California guy. He had a deep rich voice and a heart for God. He knew how to enjoy the outdoors and showed me places in nature we grew to call our own. A life filled with outdoor adventure on land and under the sea, we have spent our lives together in exploration and admiration for all of God's beauty.

We moved to Northern California, back to the Sierra Nevada Mountains, where he grew up. We married and had two beautiful boys we raised with tender loving care. Mix in some mud, dirt, rocks and all things fun for boys, we lived many years teaching them the very things we loved to do and then more. Add in motor oil, scratches and bruises, water, snow, more dirt, fishing bait, gun targets and tons of sports gear--it was a recipe that made for a beautiful life.
